Luiza Luiza
A perfect pop to kick off the hotter days, Luiza Luiza is a sparkling rosé from Vinho Verde Portugal. The Bojo du Luar project was started by Savio Soares after visiting Vinho Verde and linking up with Fernando Paiva and Antonio Sousa who were experienced in low intervention winemaking and biodynamic farming respectively.
This sparkling rosé is made with 80% Espadeiro and 20% Loureiro. Grapes are transported to Bojo du Luar then added amphora vessels with chestnut flowers used as a stabilizer, Spontaneous fermentation occurs after a few days then it's pressed and mixed with the Loureiro and bottled with minimal SO2.
Light, fresh, acidic, a little grippy, and some bubbles. What else would you want to sip by the pool?
