"In 2021 Bruno Schueller lost 95% of his harvest to mildiou, leading him to purchase grapes for the first time in the history of the domaine. 'Mittel' is a Riesling, vinified by Bruno, from grapes he purchased from an old friend in Mittelbergheim, further to the North of Alsace. For the heads who follow this kind of thing, I believe this is the first time Bruno has made wine on schist soils, his home terroir being entirely calcareous.
