Riesling Origin

Clay/limestone soils. Old-vine Riesling from Rosheim, 10-12 day maceration prior to pressing. Spontaneous fermentation and aging in neutral foudre before bottling unfined, unfiltered, no additional SO2. A gentle maceration for about a week outside the cellar, then aged in large old barrels.

Jean-Marc Dreyer

Jean Marc Dreyer is a chemical-free & holistic natural wine producer in Alsace, France known for his skin-contact, zero-sulfite wines which have a good ability to age as well.

Following Alsatian tradition Jean-Marc stepped into his father's shoes to make wine and has been working biodynamically since 2003. Unusually for the Alsace many of his whites involve skin maceration — often done in skips covered with tarpaulins in front of the house before being transferred to tanks and then oak for at least a year. These remain aromatic, fresh and very true expressions of the grape.

Growing Gewürztraminer, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Auxerrois, and Pinot Noir mostly, these wines are full of Alsace soul and a serious touch. One of the most sought-after producers in Alsace.
